My Ever Beating Heart

This is the first piece from a small series of organs which has impacted my life. I started with the heart. My grandpa had a bad heart. He was born with a tear in his heart, this piece is a small tribute to the large impact he had on my life living and dead. 
Sometimes I think it's funny that we as humans complain about a broken heart yet drink massive amounts of caffeine and hurt our own heart. 
The way we do self destructive things when we grieve.
The way we shut off emotions when processing them feels impossible.
The heart and soul are strangely intriguing.
